Q: How long will it take to receive my products?
A: Qhemet Biologics products are not mass produced but are handmade fresh through short production runs. Barring delays due to sales or sold out products, please allow up to 5 business days for order processing before shipment. Orders are shipped based on place in the order queue. Do you accept checks or money orders?
A: No, we do not accept checks or money orders.
Q: What is the shelf life of your products?
A: One year. Shelf life can be shortened or lengthened depending on the storage conditions. Store in a cool, dry location. Refrigeration is not necessary.

Q: Do you use pre-fab bases?
No. Our products are derived from proprietary confidential formulas developed by Qhemet Biologics.

Q: What is the pH of your products?
A: All of our water containing products have a pH range of 4.0 - 6.5. The pH of our anhydrous products is meaningless as oils do not yield pH values.

Q: Are your products available in salons or stores?
A: Yes, for a list of retail locations, please click here. Because we are not a mass manufacturer, the number of ground merchants we supply is limited. We do not supply webshops.

Do you ship overseas?
A: We only ship to a limited number of countries. Canadians should order through Honeyfig.

Why are some products discontinued?
A. Products are discontinued for the following reasons:
1. The necessary supplies have been discontinued by the manufacturer or distributor and a similarly priced replacement of equal quality cannot be found or exceeds our storage capacity.
2. It is no longer cost effective to manufacture at existing retail rates due to increases in supplier pricing or shipping costs.
3. The product did not meet sales expectations.

Q: What is the difference between natural and vegan?
A: Vegan simply means that a product contains no animal or animal by-products. Honey and beeswax, for example, are considered animal by-products and are therefore, not vegan.

Q. How do I use the pumps/pumps aren't working?
To dispense product from the pumps, be sure that the neck is tight then turn pump counterclockwise until it pops up. Most products require 10-20 pumps before the product dispenses. If you have difficulty with the Cocoa Tree Conditioning Ghee, place bottle with pump in hot water to soften or stick in microwave for 20-30 seconds and shake vigorously. This will soften it for several weeks and allow for easier dispensing. Heating will not adversely affect the product. Both the Honeybush Tea Soft Gel and Olive & Honey Hydrating Balm were packaged in bottles with pumps due to customer requests via Facebook polls.

Q: Why isn't my jar/bottle filled to the rim?
A: Our 8 oz. jars and bottles have a 9 oz. rim or overflow capacity so expect 1/4 to 1/2 inch of space between the fill level and the rim. Jars and bottles will occasionally be overfilled so some will contain 9 oz. of product but 8 oz. should be the expected amount. Four ounce jars have a 5 ounce rim/overflow capacity. Products marked 5 oz. will be filled to the rim, products marked 4 oz. will be filled to 4 fluid ounces. Our mini .68 oz. sample jars will contain a minimum of .68 oz. Some will contain more.
Q: Why is this product lighter/darker than the last one I received?
A: Artificial dyes are not used in our products. The products obtain their tint and color from the natural herbs and oils used which may vary from batch to batch.
Q: Why is this product slightly thinner/thicker than the last one I received?
A: QB products are made fresh using natural oils, butters and emulsifiers so slight differences in texture from batch to batch may occur. This will not affect performance. A thinner batch will thicken over time as is the nature of certain emulsion systems.
